![]() ![]() I could go on but this is making me want to go straight back to rehearsing now. There's a lot more to it, but I've changed most of the other functions to fit my own needs so I can't remember what else it can do straight off the bat, but I'm sure. The buttons on the left of the Nocturn are configured to scroll through the devices on the active channel, and the dials are auto-configured to the 8 dials on any rack device. The Selected Track Control script is a great thing to look into - it means you can move around the set and the current channel you are on is always the active channel the Nocturn automatically takes control of the highlighted device on that channel. I'm sure you can find them with a bit of googling (nocturn + ableton + MIDI script should do it). There are a couple of other scripts worth looking at for Nocturns which don't do as much but might be enough for you, but I can't remember where to find them right now. The Guille script I've linked to is awesome for really comprehensive control of virtually every aspect of Live. I'm working on a set at the moment for my next live show which uses a monome with for clip/scene launches and various M4L/drum machine sequencing, a Nocturn using a version of Guille's script ( ) which I've tweaked a bit to share control of the set (general solo/mute/levels and sends) with a nanokontrol2 using the Selected track Control script ( ) and a nanokontrol script I found on the Ableton forums, and a Beatstep for live looping and a coupe of other things. If you are looking for feedback on your own music please post it to /r/abletonfeedback/. However, please take notice of a few rules:ĭiscussion of cracked software will be removed. ![]() ![]() Questions about synthesis, getting a certain sound with Live, troubleshooting, general or specific production questions and the like are welcome. Please post anything related to Live compatible hardware and software, synths, VSTs, controllers, etc. ![]()
